[OSGeo-Discuss] Live DVD and OGC standards

Please give info/link regarding 



1. The software that are bundled in the OSGeo Live DVD do they all have OGC 
complaince.

This is a query we come across and wish to prepare for the same.  LiveDVD 
bundles many FOSS GIS software which are not actually OSGeo mentored projects. 
2. Is a Shape file OGC compliant (some times also known as ESRI Shape file)
    Is there a list of File Formats and OGC compliance ?

I've stayed in them before and they are clean and functional.  Often don't
spend too much time there with everything else going on at a conference.

Good value in my opinion, especially when with Breakfast

Hi Daniel,

There's a link from the accommodation page on the website to hotels in
Nottingham if you want to book your own- here it is:
http://www.experiencenottinghamshire.com/stay

For what it's worth, once you include transport from the centre of
Nottingham, and parking, then the hotel cost is not so bad- but there are
also student rooms (halls) on site at around 50 per night, all is linked
from http://2013.foss4g.org/accommodation/. We're only running out of the
Orchard Hotel accommodation- not the student halls. Most of the
entertainment is on site, so we'd thoroughly recommend staying on campus if
you can.
