Did you know that Directions Magazine has GIS podcasts online?
This has inspired me to try a couple of FOSS GIS podcasts. I bought a
microphone and book on podcasting this weekend. I also downloaded Audacity
to use for the podcast editing.
I thought I would try an audio version of my first two (2) articles on
spatial relationships in the OSGeo Journal as my first podcasts. Then I
might try one or two on OpenJUMP.
Are there other existing FOSS GIS podcasts?

 Hi Landon,

for Spanish-enabled listeners I must recommend an Spanish podcast
called GeografĂa para llevar (Geography to take away). They released
some weeks ago some podcasts about FOSS4G.

Podcasts 28 to 31 are about FOSS4G, anyway all their podcasts are
 really very interesting!!

Re: [OSGeo-Discuss] FOSS4G Sunday Icebreaker

2007-09-21 Thread Nick Black
This sounds cool - the OSM mapping partyers will be ending up in the
Sticky Wicket on Sunday evening too. See you there.

Those of you arriving early, for workshops, teaching and touristing, I
hope you will all join us on Sunday evening at the Sticky Wicket in the
Clubhouse (initially, perhaps it will be sunny and we can move to the
roof for some beach volleyball) from 6pm onwards.

Workshop teachers, make sure to finish your classroom inspections before
 hitting the beer. :)

The Wicket will, by virtue of its size, be our conference Default
Hangout, so wander by there every evening to hook up with the conference
