■賞の概要など

日本OSS推進フォーラムは、このたび、優れたオープンソースソフト
ウェア（OSS）の開発及び普及に貢献した個人等を表彰する「第10回
日本OSS貢献者賞」および「第10回 日本OSS奨励賞」の受賞者を選定
しました

「日本OSS貢献者賞」は、OSS開発の振興を図ることを目的に、影響力
のある開発プロジェクトを創造・運営した開発者や、グローバル
プロジェクトにおいて活 躍する卓越した開発者、OSS普及への貢献者
を表彰するものです。本賞は2005年度に創設され、今回が第10回目と
なります。

「日本OSS奨励賞」は、過去1年間にOSSの開発や普及に顕著な活躍を
した個人ないしグループを表彰するものです。本賞は2009年度に新設し、
今年度が第6回目となります。

■受賞内容（日本OSS貢献者賞）

▼岡島 順治郎
LinuxライブCDや、Dockerの普及に重要な役割を果たしたaufs
（advanced multi layered unification filesystem）を開発して
いる。aufsは多くのライブCDディストリビューションに採用される
ほか、HPCや大学の学内システムなど様々な分野においても利用
されている。また、aufsのマルチレイヤ統合機能は、Dockerを
通じてコンテナ技術の普及に寄与している。

▼奥 一穂
世界最速とされるHTTP2サーバの実装H2Oの開発を自ら行うとともに、
多くの開発者をリードしている。JavaScriptより高速かつ安全な
ECMAScript系言語処理系JSXを開発するなどグローバルなWebの
世界にイノベーションを起こし続けている。Palm用ブラウザ「Xiino」、
Webサイトの国際化、翻訳自動化を行う「MyLingual」「Japanize」
やメッセージキュー「Q4M」などの開発も主導した実績がある。

▼亀澤 寛之
Linuxカーネル開発において顕著な功績がある。メモリホット
プラグ機能を実装したり、メモリ資源管理機能(cgroup)開発では
メンテナとして活動するなど多大な貢献を行ってきた。また、
これまでの経験をもとにイベント等でコミュニティ参加を
呼びかけたり、学生トレーニングプログラムにおけるLinuxコースの
講師、雑誌でのカーネル関連記事の連載、学会誌への寄稿等
幅広く活動している。

▼古橋 貞之
非同期メッセージングライブラリ「MessagePack」、
分散Key-Valueストア「kumofs」、ログコレクタ「Fluentd」、
バルクデータローダ「Embulk」、Presto向けゲートウェイサーバ
「Prestogres」など、大学生時代から現在に至るまで、多数の
OSSプロジェクトを立ち上げ、開発を主導している。2010年度
日本OSS奨励賞を受賞。

■受賞内容（日本OSS奨励賞）

▼鯵坂 明
Apache Hadoopのコミッタとして、ソフトウェア品質の向上や
ドキュメント整備に貢献している。メンテナンスバージョンの
リリースや必要なバックポート作業など、地道であるものの、
利用者視点では欠かせない活動を主体的に実施している。

▼江木 聡志
成熟していると考えられていたプログラミング言語の分野で、
既存のものではあきたらず、パターンマッチ指向プログラミング
言語Egisonを自らの手で新たに設計・開発した。

▼榎 真治
LibreOffice日本語チームのメンバーとして、全国のオープン
ソースカンファレンスへの出展や勉強会の企画開催など、
精力的に普及啓蒙活動を行い、普及に貢献した。また、海外の
関連のイベントに参加、講演を行い、日本におけるLibreOfficeの
状況を発信した。

▼奥村 隆一
YUI、YUIDoc、FormatJS等、主に米Yahoo!社が公開するOSSの
開発に寄与してきた。開発コミュニティからも信頼を受け、
現在複数のプロジェクトでコミッタやメンテナなどの役割を
任されている。

▼猿田 浩輔
Apache Sparkのバグ修正や機能改善などの品質向上に加えて、
タスクの実行状態を可視化するタイムラインビューアの実装を
主導している。開発者がプロジェクトの発端組織の関係者や
出身者が大半を占める中、独自の活動の成果が認められて
コミッタに就任している。

▼末永 恭正
Javaのヒープオブジェクトプロファイラ・障害解析ツール
であるHeapStats（ヒープスタッツ）のメイン開発者として、
新しい解析用GUI実装やスレッド状態記録機能など、多くの
機能を開発。また、特定組織からは独立した個人として、
日本人初のOpenJDKコミッタと認められるなど際立った実績が
ある。

▼細田 真道
GNUプロジェクトの一つである楽譜作成プログラムLilyPondの
コミッタとして活躍する。開発が停滞していたLilyPondで、
開発を下支えするビルドシステムGUBの問題を解決し、
リリースを可能にし、リリースドキュメントに謝辞が掲載
されている。現在は、フォント関係の機能強化を主導する
とともに、日本語ドキュメントの充実を図り、楽譜作成という
ユニークな分野におけるOSSの普及に尽力している。

▼宮下 剛輔
昨今要求が高まっているシステム配備の自動化の実現に
欠かすことができないサーバの状態を自動的にテストする
ツールServerspecを開発し、インフラ分野における業務の
効率化に貢献した。Serverspecは日本国内だけでなく、
海外でも活用されている。

▼吉田 真也
OpenJDKにおいて、Javaをインタラクティブに扱えるように
するREPL（レプル）ツール、OpenJDK公認プロジェクトKulla
（クラ）のコミッタとして活躍している。現役大学生であり
ながら、特定組織からは独立した個人として、日本人二人目の
OpenJDKコミッタとなる。また、Java8（エイト）の目玉機能
であるLambda（ラムダ）の機能実装に協力した。

▼国土地理院 情報普及課
国土地理院が提供する地理空間情報について、より高い
公共性を確保すべくオープンデータとしての利用及びサービス
のオープンソース化を推進した。特に、ウェブ地図方式の
地理空間情報「地理院タイル」をOSSで利用しやすい方式で
提供して利活用を推進している。さらに、最新OSS技術を
取り込んでウェブ地図「地理院地図」を提供し、そのソース
コードをOSS公開して地理空間情報の活用を推進している。

I'm also would like to nominate Kosuke ASAHI as Charter member.
As Venka described, He is a very active member of OSGeo community not
only Hokkaido, but also all Japan community. His experience and

 I am not a charter member now, but I would like to second the
 nomination for Asahi-san.
 Asahi-san is one of the Japan Hokkaido district FOSS4G community leader
 and I believe that his joining as a charter member will be necessary not only
 for Japan community but also for other countries' community.

 I am greatly pleased to nominate ASAHI Kosuke
 as Charter Member for the 2015 elections.

 ASAHI Kosuke is very active in the OSGeo.JP community
 and the force behind the FOSS4G Hokkaido community
 [1] which he started in 2010 with 6 members and is presently a
 community of more than 200 members. He is a prolific blogger
 [2] helping many in the community to get started with FOSS4G
 tools and is also an author of the highly popular book on
 Opendata and QGIS [3]. Asahi-san is the one of the most famous
 QGIS Python programming trainer in Japan [4] and  has been
 the main organizer for recent QGIS Hackfest Hokkaido 2015
 event.

 He possess all the requisite qualities to be a OSGeo Charter
 Member and will be a great asset  to our Foundation.

 He is currently a board member of OSGeo.JP and has kindly
 consented for the nomination.
