Great responses from osgeo community, that's awesome !
Drupal community seemed a bit ligher on it, but the people
that code I got a chance to talk on irc and they agreed
on joining such a mailing list too.

no mailing list that I know of, just a forum [1]
which doesn't seem to be used much by developers.

Great idea. We have also worked on the various geomodules for drupal,
and found the situation really confusing.
