I'd second the 600mhz route. Running SuSE linux with 512mb. Web interface is a little slow but other than that it works just fine. FWIW I'm running 4 players off it too with no real problems. On the SB2 I don't even get stuttering during scanning as the buffer is so big. -- xio

Sounds to me like the problem lies with your server, rather than the network. You get behavior like that when the server is busy (either with Slimserver stuff, or other CPU-intensive applications). What's your collection size, hardware, and what other roles is your server performing? Chris

When you say you navigate to an artist, what do you mean? By what means are you navigating? I just upgraded to 6.2.1 to test this for you and I don't see that behavior in the Fishbone skin, or via the infrared remote. When selecting the No Album option, only songs by that artist show up.

That does sound like a bug somewhere. There's no reason that an Ethernet interface with a given MAC address can't have more than one IP address, though. I've run web servers with dozens of IP addresses bound to a single NIC. I'm not familiar enough with the DHCP protocol to say whether or not

All this does is periodically load the slimserver web page to keep the service in memory. I wouldn't imagine this causing an issue with losing the connection unless you have a very slow PC or are very low on RAM - do you lose the connection every 30 minutes? You can turn the option off via the

Hmm - with the new version I get a small window which just says 'Awaiting Server Response'. After a while I realised dragging this so it was much larger from the corner revealed the Moose interface. Still can't get it to do anything other than sit there saying 'Awaiting Server Response', though.
