Hi,
I have looked in the forum but cannot find anything related to
protection for the remote control.
I would like to keep my remote controls of the SqueezeBox how they're
now.
Because they are glossy I think scratches can be seen easily. Also the

By the way, I like the way the squeezebox sounds. I use the Rhapsody

I had a similar situation... I then held down the brightness button on
the SB remote to force reload/update the firmware and all returned to
normal after reboot. Not sure if it really did get new firmware or if
it was just the reboot.

You've expressesd my feelings exactly. Every week I check both the

extraordinarily shabby behavior by both Infrant and Slimdevices to let

Please describe "everything". Inability to connect can be due to network
issues, crashing server, dead SB, dead remote, two left hands...

Interesting question, and in practice, probably not that much better
than a decent $3,500 system due to the law of diminishing returns.
Would still be nice to hear it though :)

Now slimserver is listening again on port 9000 and scanning my music

Thanks anyway.

I managed to remove and deinstall all the mysql and slimserver packages,
with apt-get and then did a fresh install of slimserver, with all the
mysql dependancies being built with it. The slimserver still isn't
listening on port 9000 and the log now includes a bunch of this:

For several months now SB3s have been shipping with a Logitech logo. Do

rare. Not sure why the web site would not be updated to reflect the
actual product.

Is there any way to listen to RAM streams without having PC on? If not,
does anyone know if Slimdevices plan to make RAM streams supported by

That will reset it to factory defaults.
