Hi, I have looked in the forum but cannot find anything related to protection for the remote control. I would like to keep my remote controls of the SqueezeBox how they're now. Because they are glossy I think scratches can be seen easily. Also the text on the buttons will wear out with extensi

I had a similar situation... I then held down the brightness button on the SB remote to force reload/update the firmware and all returned to normal after reboot. Not sure if it really did get new firmware or if it was just the reboot. -- mdconnelly Mike ---

deinstalled slimserver and all mysql-common with apt again, removed the /var/cache/slimserver directory entirely, did a full dist-upgrade and then install of slimserver. Now slimserver is listening again on port 9000 and scanning my music library. Thanks anyway. -- guy_smiley

Thanks for the ADD tip. In the meantime, I found the problem and have a workaround. Apparently, its a strange network problem. I noticed that the SB traffic has a lot of retransmits so I tried to lower the MTU on the server's side and the problem disappears when MTU<650. With 650800 it loses s

I've just found a second hand all black SB3 for sale, with Slim Devices logo. Looks like logitech have lost out on a sale.. Are they listening to their customers or not. Why can't they keep their branding separate. Plenty of other corporations do Toyota / Lexus are a perfect example.
