thanks for that, if it is a MAC address problem, how do I change to
physical MAC address for my two SB2s?

Yikes, sorry to hear of your problems. I recently switched to a
Airport Extreme from an Airport Express, too. I had some dropout
problems from my microwave, but once I switched to Channel 1 from

Ross,
Thanks for taking the time to reply. I understand the quirkiness of
wireless networks and interference. The problem with it being unable
to connect to slimserver just struck me as being an Airport not letting
slimserver in or kicking it out issue. But my wireless problem is now at

Is there an easy way to do this.
I'm trying to convince a friend to go with a squeezebox.
One issue is his wifes Library is a mess and doesn't want it

I just set up Slimserver on my new Linkstation Pro and decided to try

I had a similar problem a few weeks ago. SB3 was fine -SB2 would not

Ron,
It's very possible that the wireless failure is out of your control. It
could be due to neighboring wireless networks, or some new microwave,
too many things can cause wireless networks to fail. Just because it

Is Firefox your default browser? What do you do exactly to get the .url

I am not running the Squeezebox through my computer but through my

My uneducated guess is that cranking up the volume on the Squeezebox you are
exceeding the limits of the DAC. When you do that, the analog output will
have some very sharp edges.
You could confirm that by looking at the analog outputs with an
oscilloscope, something that most people do not have.

old non-dd-wrt router as an access point for my SB and it does not drop
