Currently running SC 7.0.1 - 19705 and firmware 88 on 32 bit Vista with MSIE 7.0.6. When I open SC the page just locks up, clicks don't do anything, page cannot be closed and IE has to be crashed in task manager to exit. SC works OK in Firefox and Safari so this is clearly some kind of IE

'Bug #9094' (http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=9094) opened, configuring the Linksys firmware as a Gateway made no difference (it still worked, as it should) so it's not a gateway issue, it's entirely down to the after-market firmware doing something that the official firmware doesn't.

Other than internet based services, nothing requires an internet connection, so I wouldn't expect a problem there. However, I don't see any reason you couldn't just wire the Thomson unit to your network once you get to Scotland and use it as a second AP (or disable whatever's there) if it works

I have Vista 64 and unRAID as my NAS. I can map to unRAID fine form Vista and access the share with out issues. I have installed both 7.1 and 7.3 SC and set up the music directories accordingly, which is a mapped drive back to my unRAID NAS. The issue is I can not seem to access the music folder

The last few lines there indicate there's a loop in the music directory - you have a shortcut file (M:\DTS\Paul McCartney\Tripping the Live Fantastic\Windows Media Player.lnk) in there pointing back to the root. Delete that (and any others like it) and you should be OK. -- radish

OK, problem solved. Problem existing between operator and keyboard in this case. When trying to enter my UNC share names I was forgetting that the \share\ portion of the d:\ path does not exist as a component of the UNC path name. In other words d:\shares\music is not \\homeserver\shares\music

Ops didn't see that one sorry, and yes 7.2 is pretty stable, completely unscientifically but imho i think some kind of midfield beta is better than the official release, or at least has been that way over the years i owned SB products. And again imho 7.2 is one of the better ones. -- Mnyb
