No, not at all.

Thanks for your reply Mike.
I guess I'm still a bit confused though. What specific part of the
initial setup indicates that I am communicating to the receiver
directly as opposed to connecting via a wireless access point, etc. ?

Googling for file sharing between XP and Vista returns a nightmare of
answers, but most are from 2007. Did MS clean up its Vista act that

Honest to goodness, a computer programmer friend last night commented,
when we were finding such good deals for Vista machines, well someone

Non, I agree with most of your comments.
It will be interesting to see where things are a year plus from now. I
wouldn't think Logitech bought Slim Devices just to play in a niche
market. But, as you allude to, the company needs to get more average
user friendly,

Thanks for the ideas. I reckon I'll go with a new Duet Receiver and
Controller in the end as it seems to offer the best of both worlds in
that it can be used from the bed or anywhere the sound can be heard
upstairs.
It does require separate speakers so isn't as neat as the boom but I

I manually ordered my Internet radio presets just the way I want them on
the RadioTime site but when I view them in SqueezeCenter or on my Duet
controller, it seems they are just sorted alphabetically and my manual
sorting is ignored.
Is there any way to make my manual listing order be displayed
Ah nuts...just when I thought I had correctly followed all the
instructions on the Wiki and Spicefly sites and was waiting for the SC
clear rescan thinking all would be good.the scan completes but
now SC shows me no tracks. It shows the scan results as having found 0

do you know any other plugin like yours? Do you see any chance that
there is sometimes a modify version of your playlist manager that works
with the duet controller? I realy miss this feature and i hope there is
any intelligent plugin writer outside who can make this work ;)
No, sorry.
This can help you track down what may be at fault.. easy first step is
to try a factory reset.

Google around for anything and you'll find horror stories if that's what
you're looking for (just look at this forum!). I don't personally run

networking/file sharing can always throw up interesting problems, and
Vista certainly

When SqueezeBox 3 plays internet radio with SqueezeCenter 7.1 or 7.2 (I
uninstalled 7.1 first, then reboot Windows XP, then intsalled 7.2), SB3
got HTTP 1.0 403 Access Forbidden , I can play these internet radios

I would be equally amazed if there were anything released that could be
called an SB4. I suspect the SB3 is the end of the line for that
approach as well.
I can see some new products that would be variations of those already

I believe Logitech has sufficiently widened the low end of the product
line with some compelling hardware in the Duet and Boom. So what's
next?
Undercutting the Transporter with a product that has a lot more mass
appeal. It's a matter of sales volume. If Logitech can sell a million
SB4 units,
Normally I would say the SB Classic would fit your needs best, but for a
little more coin you could go with the Boom and not worry about external
speakers.

Interesting change - The other day my controller just seemed to not want
to connect to my server no matter what I did and in frustration I did
the Factory Reset. Well, I connected to my server again PLUS I haven't
seen the playlist issue since. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
