Setup proved problematic, in that my Windows Firewall wouldn't allow communication between SqueezeCenter and the player. Are you using some 3rd party product? The default Windows Firewall should be configured during installation. -- Michael ___

Hello :) I just bought a Squeezebox duet, and its on the way. But I am wondering about one thing. Is there anyway I could use Squeeze Center to stream music to a web browser from my home network to another location, such as Work. And be able to control what get played from that remote location.

I used the network test facility both on the player and in SqueezeCenter. I run FLAC files only. I ran the tests at 2000kbps. Despite a lot of fluctuation, the player is generally prety good on wireless with very few drop outs, but I want perfect hence the wired connection for now. I really

Sorry I didn't react for a while. I was very busy re-ripping all my CD's. Because tags where not ok, Squeezecenter did not group the songs correctly. I think 95% was moved to the 'Unknown' artists section. So I had to correct the tags. I also wanted to move to .flac files. So I re-ripped all!

I think there are other threads reporting similar problems with 7.3.3 (I believe most, maybe all, are on Linux boxes). The easiest solution appears to be re-starting Squeezecenter. Not sure if the problem is well enough understood for a long-term solution. -- tcutting
