Lidl is a German cut price supermarket with many outlets in UK. I see my local store (and I guess) many of them are selling a universal remote for about £5. I think the SB£ will respond to JVC codes. Am I right? I can then use the SB remote ith the Boom in the kitchen for it's preset buttons,

Setup proved problematic, in that my Windows Firewall wouldn't allow communication between SqueezeCenter and the player. Are you using some 3rd party product? The default Windows Firewall should be configured during installation. -- Michael ___

Sorry I didn't react for a while. I was very busy re-ripping all my CD's. Because tags where not ok, Squeezecenter did not group the songs correctly. I think 95% was moved to the 'Unknown' artists section. So I had to correct the tags. I also wanted to move to .flac files. So I re-ripped all!

hi there, after updating to 7.3.3, I can't listen to AlienBBC or other radios, because my server complains the it cannot resolve the address. However, if I ssh the box, I can ping a domain, so it does resolve addresses... Any suggestion? thanks for your time, -Gian -- gian

I think there are other threads reporting similar problems with 7.3.3 (I believe most, maybe all, are on Linux boxes). The easiest solution appears to be re-starting Squeezecenter. Not sure if the problem is well enough understood for a long-term solution. -- tcutting

...hmmm... I have rebooted the server at least once, since I moved it in another room, and I can't still resolve addresses The only mod I made recently was the network interface from eth0 to eth1, but since it is working fine, SC should not complain... thanks for your replies, -Gian --
