I generally run all 6 of my SB's synced - even if I am not moving

Question:
This isn't happening frequently but it's often enough to be irritating.
A Squeezebox becomes unresponsive to the remote then Squeezebox Server
shuts down. I've checked the server log on a few occasions and on each
of them I've seen this error message:

It works on 7.5.2 as well I just hadn't seen it in the manual or tried
it. Thank you.

I had a similiar issue on a winxp machine a while back also using a usb
sound card. It turned out to be the hard drive was starting to fail.
I had errors in the system event log regarding the inability to access
swap.
I replaced the drive and have never had the dropouts since.

I've decided the wireless card is buggy. I've seen it before on another
SB3 I own. I have ordered an ethernet smart switch and will use it to
go wired. I wonder if I should remove the card or just leave it in?

I really can't get this to work. I have all the files (with lame encoder
3.98.2. I tried newer ones too) in both the Spotify folder and the flash
folder. The icon turns green and Spotify goes silent but my Squeezebox
radio just buffering (i guess) and is silent. I'm running Windows 7
64-bit.

Really ?
How many 20 years old electronic devices do you own ?
How many are over 10 years ?
Would you repair these if they break or would you just take the
opportunity to get a new device which is the current state of the art
on the market ?
It depends on the gear.
Is there a way to set a fixed buffer on squeezebox? So that for say you
could set a 10 second delay in vlc and have sync with the movie. I
wouldn't mind a long delay so long it's fixed.
Cheers

The SB3 and Touch is in that price range when recycling them makes more
sense than repair in some cases.
That said my SB3 is 5year in February never had any trouble with that
one .
Seems to be quality stuff :)
I may even get my 10 years of service life from such low cost product

The Transporter is a very good player but I believe it is a bit
overpriced. Especially for the age of technology youre buying. I would
get the Touch instead. If youre not happy with the sound it produces
you still can get a good DAC and have spent less money than you would
on the Transporter
I'd look at some powered in-wall speakers ceiling-mounted if you have
access to your ceiling through an attic.

Hello !
I also use eventghost as a home automation brain and i can control my
Denon receiver (avr-1910) with it through IR blasting.
I also like to power it and control the volume through squeezecenter (i
also have a squeezebox boom) maybe with something like squeezesalve or
softsqueeze.

Is it possible to use an external display with something like the
Transporter or the Touch? Ultimately, what I'd like is something
roughly the size of an iPad or maybe a bit larger that is nice looking
that could sit on my entertainment center and display album art while
playing music.

I'd say it *is* fixed - but not user settable though. Parts of the delay
is probably difficult to predict as it is related to networking.

Yes, thanks, but definitely smaller than I'd like. I want something
that will look good and be readable from across the room.

I had tried the -H, just forgot to mention it.
I've been looking at the event logs for both machines, but haven't seen
anything that might be an issue, other than -The device,
\Device\Scsi\SI3114r1, did not respond within the timeout period.- on
the server.
But that only happened back on 12/25 -

Hello,
I am wondering how the local station list is created for the
squeezebox radio, in other words from where is the squeezebox getting
the station URLs that are listed under this selection. I am asking
because I don't see one of my local stations on the list and I am
wondering how I could
