No , where out of luck there too ;)
Experiments at conducted at different nightclubs over an extended test

I can Imagine the OCD audiophile scaring away his wife (OCD audiophiles
are always male, why ? )
ah yes that mustve been it.
It had the | on the top. i toggled it to + and now it just adds the
entire album without playing , and when i press play it starts playing
the first song.
however, it seems that on my ipeng (Dutch) both | and + are described
as alles toevoegen witch means add all. |
just my $0.02, it is sad that they have stopped offering the receiver.
Not that it is my concern, but logitech may be presenting a barrier to
first time purchases of the squeezebox system with the removal of the
receiver. That is how I started out and have become quite loyal to the
logitech
That's a how long is a piece of string question really.
The 3700 would be an ideal server. Putting windows on it would be very
easy.
Putting ubuntu on it would also be pretty easy - the installer
approaches windows in it's ease of use and simplicity. Where you could
get unstuck is if you have
Well, both functions are usually adding tracks. The only thing is that
Add next got changed to Play next in a recent iPeng update meaning
that it makes the player start playback if it's currently paused or off
but it sill never deletes a playlist. You can turn this off in
Settings-iPeng Settings.
it is not at all hard to switch app , such integration must also be
better than any existing app , othervise must user would switch to a
better app anyway .
How much fiddling with the hifi do you do when listening to a
squeezebox ? I adjust volume now and then thats all ?
So when the rigth
SB3 can use JVC_DVD IR codes, or try the NET:UDAP utility hack for setup
(no idea if that will work until you get SB3 onto the network first).

Hi all,
After almost 5 years, my SB3 is dead. However, I am suspecting that
the power adaptor is the culprit (but cannot be sure).
I guess the only way to tell is to buy a new adaptor.
Does anybody in the UK have any experience of these adaptors:
Thanks Boom Boom

Thanks for the reply slippyr4. Fair comment, I'll try to ask a slightly
more direct question.
If I want to use the Revo as a replacement for the QNAP, effectively as
a file server, do I need to install Ubuntu Server, or will the desktop
version do the job? I'm guessing I need the Server version
I'd think the desktop edition would be fine. although you're after a
server, you'll only have a couple of clients. server operating
systems are for data centre's and so on.
You can set up file shares and even quotas and so on with ubuntu
desktop edition just fine. I doubt you'll need any more

Interesting, though it seems like a bit of a throwback given the
monochrome display. The old SB3 had a more appealing screen.
How much do you want to bet it doesn't play FLAC or LAME mp3 gapless?
It plays FLAC, but for US $499, it should make your breakfast and
Sounds like the desktop version will be fine then. Thanks for the help,
much appreciated.
