The remote from a Squeezebox Touch will also work fine . With one exception there is no brigthness button . This may only be a real problem if it's firmware is very very old ( been in it's box for several years ). Way back you where required to press the brigthness button to accept an firmware u

If you have a universal remote, the Squeezebox uses JVC DVD remote codes. I don't know the equivalent of the brightness key, which is used for some alternate functions, but the basic transport and 10 key/t9 functions are somewhat intuitive. --
