Hello,
I have a Dockstar (on ArchLinux) running LMS and Squeezelite.
The sound has crackles sometimes like a bad FM reception.
My actual material is a Dockstar, an AudioGD Sparrow has USB-DAC, and a
headphone K701
On the Docstar, I have another USB-Key with MPD and the sound is greeat,

I get the same thing going through a vpn from germany - I got that
message straight away when I tried strongVPN, switched to unoTellyVPN
and it worked for about 15 minutes and then it started giving me the
same message again.
If I try to connect via my local IP I get a different message a la not

Ok, so I did investigate their API a bit (it's extensive!). I do mostly
compare with MusicIP (which I've been running for years), as I'd like to
have a replacement for smart mixing my own collection. Tests were run on

WPS is not very secure either. Easy simple setup = insecure
vulnerable network. Best to disable WPS.

The sync and gapless issue is interesting .
it's fabled to be possible with upnp/dlna but not many practical
applications devices exists .
I think linnhas solved gapless for upnp .
next Q would that work with another upnp player that also has gapless
support and sync them ?
As you can imagine I have not come to these conclusions without some
coding. Now let's hope I'll find some more time over the Holidays to
tinker around with this...
While I was typing those lines my Transporter was playing tunes based on
some Peter Gabriel track I can't remember, mixing in

For you the Onkyo dock would be a good move as its also an Airplay

You could use the ipad as a player either docked (is ipad3 30 pin?) or
via airplay - I assume you have some kind of hifi from your comments.
Yea I use a Marantz PM6003 Amp with a pair of
Slight bump...for an update
To date, I have yet to get the Logitech app to play music. Can't figure
out why.
So far, I'm loving the Orange Squeeze app. My first impressions are that
it might just be the best GUI for music playback yet.
I'm certainly thinking it's the best $4 I've ever spent
I am probably being totally dense and missing the blindingly obvious,
but I cannot find a button for the + context menu anywhere?

BTW: you can get that menu in the official App, too. The same way as in
OrangeSqueeze. And indeed also in SqueezeCommander. And on the
Squeezebox Touch :) And in iPeng (that's where it originates from, I
believe).

Please, keep your piehole filled with pie. Tis the season. Are you using

and yes - I use / update the preview builds.

Hi there...
So I just installed Orange Squeeze 1.3.1 on my Galaxy Nexus (Android
4.2.1).
Very often (though not every time), when I tried to connect to
mysqueezebox.com or my own LMS server, Orange Squeeze tries to connect,
and then says Timeout waiting for server connection to complete.
Then,
After installing Orange Squeeze, I see it has several processes/services
running, even when I'm not using it. Is there any way to configure it
to NOT have these running if the app is not running in the foreground? I
hate it when apps run all the time like that.

Ah...
I knew it must be there somewhere!
I have turned on the context sensitive tips until I get used to it.
Love the interface by the way, very intelligent use of the space in
portrait mode.
db122 - Thanks for all the info! I won't worry about the background
processes, and will just take your word for it. You know, old
engineer's habit, suspicion of unknown processes. :-)
As for the connection issues - yeah, I've notice that my Galaxy Nexus
has been having WiFi connectivity
Just grabbed a copy. For $3-4 definitely worth it, even to try.
Also, I have to say that this is a realistic pricing model for this
kind of app/expansion, unlike some developers charging $20 just for a
plugin. (As my purchasing demonstrates!) :)
