Yep...would be my wish, too.

anything not just genre , you can have other kinds of " ghost entries "
too ?
AFAICT yes: just had a "gost artist" last week, after fixing an artist

You have a Touch , it was meant to have native alac support but it's off
by default .
If you go to advanced settings file types you may turn it on .
It was some kind of bug that made them do this I don't really know why ,
it usually works .
Also if you have slow server don't browse by "music fold
I am using Apple Lossless files. About 357GB total music folder. Yes I
waited for it to complete - it took a couple hours.
LS is WXLAED 2TB set up RAID 1 so it's 1 TB.
I'm using iPeng or Web control to run the Touch.
I assume you've waited for LMS to complete the library scan. On my old
low power nas, a full scan of 5+ files could take maybe 8 hours.
And during a scan the web interface was extremely slow.

to pull up albums. Perhaps this Link Station is just underpowered to
use as LMS especially given my files are mostly lossless?

Has anyone filed a bug for LMS not deleting orphaned genres from the db?
Running a scan looking for changed files picks up that there are
changes to genre entries, however, orphaned genre entries are not
deleted - they still appear in the genre listing albeit browsing an

I'm trying to install SqueezeSlave on a computer running Mint 15 with a
kernel version 3.8.0-19. I followed the directions in
wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/SqueezeSlave and finished with the "make"
commands under "A typical Linux build". These instructions are obviously
dated since the current Sq

Are there any hints about when mysb.com might vanish?
Of course I can reconfigure to do without it, but my Boom does what I
want via mysb.com while the Classic works to the local server.
No sign of second hand Squeezeboxes falling in price, which is an
indication of how wrong Logitech have got i
