This is very likely a firewall issue on your server. It you use Windows,
try to run the squeeze2cast-win.exe directly from the plugin directory -
it needs to be done only once

Hi all,
last weekend the disk containing my music collection decided to stop
functioning. I have a partial backup (±90%) and I'd like to know if
there's a way to compare the contents of this backup to the LMS library
in a more or less "automatic" way. Given that there were around 120K
songs,

Depends which player you are using. Any currently playing stream or a
stream listed in the menus can be added to Favorites (or presets).

I have installed the Chromecast Bridge into LMS. It seems to be working
because it sends the file information to the Chromecast. But only video
information, there's no sound
Anyone else experienced this and solved this problem?
Thanks in advance

As you can see in my signature, I have a totally non Bluetooth stereo SB
ecosystem.
Can some one tell me if the Chromecast Audio device will give me any
advantages to what I already have? I would like to get SiriusXM...is
that a possibility with a subscription? Would I connect the CC device to

Yes, both 1st and 2nd Gen CC Video work. I have both.
New setup:
- ASRock Ion 330, Lubuntu 14.04, LMS 7.9, FLAC
- *Duet* > Pro-Ject DAC Box E > AKG Hearo 888 Titan (home office),
*Boom + Canton ASF 75 SC* (master bedroom),

I'm quite excited by Chromecast. My series of Squeeze players are
gradually expring and as each dies I have begun to replace them with
Chromecast devices.
For a long time my family has controlled our Squezeboxes via our tablets
and phones using Orange Squeeze, which we also use as Now Playing

If this is true about GPM ( see
http://www.techtimes.com/articles/86037/20150918/google-play-music-on-chromecast-now-features-gapless-playback.htm
) then gapless may be more an implementation issues on the LMS side.
