I have a plan to collect complete line of Squeezebox devices including
models variations. After some investigation I have this list:
- SLIMP3 (wired only)
- Squeezebox SB1 (wired only / wireless)
- Squeezebox SBG (= SB1 with upgraded display) (wired only /
wireless)
- Squeezebox2 (wired
I don't know what level of detail you plan on going to in collecting
variations but Transporters came in silver and black. Additionally, the
earlier Transporters came with the 'Slim Devices' logo while the later
Logitech ones simply said 'Transporter'.

Well, it's getting a little bit complicated :-) I think I'll skip some
of color & logo options, at least for now. I will primarily focus on the
hardware differences.

I've just stumbled upon a feature in the Microsoft Edge browser of
Windows 10 called "Cast media to device".
e.g. see

When I click it it offers connections to both my SB Radio and SB Touch,
but when I try
I can probably let you have an SB1(Black) and an SB1G in silver - both
wireless I think, but in varying stages of crustiness. I seem to
remember that the soft feel plastic on the SB1 decomposed and I removed
it with solvent, so definitely not mint/collectors item. If you're
interested I'll dig

There were two variation on SB1 -
Initially SB1 - 40 char x 2 lines
Then around end 2004 SB1G - 280x16 pixel display.
Also SB1 was available in 5 colours.

I have a white radio - I had to give back my Red beta test unit which I
think was a different shade of red to production.
SB1G and SB2 came in 4 colours fo a while
I think you'll need Andy Grundmanns UPnP-plugin to let the SBes act as a
DLNA renderer.

Yes, I know this page very well. It's the best source of information,
however some small details still missing.

Thanks again for your reply & the clear instructions Mnyb, no mention of
SoX in my log though:

Did we forget to ask this obvius question .
Have you changed any off the file types settings in LMS ? are any of
the choices greyed out ? any custom rules ?
Main hifi: Touch + CIA PS +MeridianG68J MeridianHD621
SB3 aka Classic was sold with or without wifi card , but that option
soon disappeared , but it is a plug in card so you can make one or the
other by tossing or adding the wifi card .
I dont think there where sold without wifi when logitech took over

max2play on a Pi can definitely transcode with no issue. I am sure it
should on Odroid also.

Two earlier
I appreciate you providing this but I'm pretty sure the mediafire site
opened a new Chrome window in the background to the
"secureopensoftware.com" website prompting me to download/install an
"update" which most certainly is a virus. You might want to consider a
different host.
The log has a number of attempts when there should only be one - so I'm
not sure whether LMS is having serious problems or whether you tried to
play multiple file.
Did you try multiple times ? If so please just do one file as asked and
save in a plain text file not a word doc.
However, there

Not sure why it would try multiple times on a single file (even though I
always found that transcoding logging to be nearly indecipherable), but
just checking to see whether the flac and sox binary executables are
installed sounds like a very good idea.
This hires file it is 2ch rigth ?

bpa, If you try it on your own system with default settings and no
custom-convert file, you'll likely the same in your server log. I just
tried it myself and get much the same log output.

I don't know if an API is even available at this point so I don't

Thanks for that - it turns out I already have that plug-in installed (it
says v1.0) on
