Wait what have Sonos to do with it ? Do you have a Sonos system ?
PC that runs LMS should if possible be wired ? The server is not
wireless ?
Can you simply describe your system , server and OS and your network
components .
Can anyone tell me if a modern router would be any better for me than an
old Linksys WRT54GL? I see lots of these on craigslist. Keep in mind
that I'm disabling wireless...using wired only.

i recently moved into a new house with a new network and a full blown
Sonos system (nine rooms). It's all great, BUT my Squeezebox is not
working properly. When playing music from my PC it "struggles" -- songs
fade out and "stumble" (this is hard to describe).
I had some network experts here
Since a few days I get the error helper app not running.
Trying to run it manually leads to segmentation faults.
I didn't do any updates/changes to LMS / spotify.
I can only imagine normal system (security) updates caused this.
What can I do to get the helper app running again?
