I suspect that _createGenre in Schema.pm (or the database table
definition perhaps) needs a check on genre with different case already
existing and only add if not present.
I'm a little surprised about these reports, as I thought we got rid of
all attempts of normalization at some point
That makes sense. So Shairtunes wasn't the culprit but the victim, and
I drew the wrong conclusion from the error messages. Whatever's causing
this occasional 37s dropout when players are synced and playing is quite
a rare phenomenon in my case. I've had my RPi powered down and back up
Try changing that preset to a different radio station and see if it
works.

What I have observed on my own network is that, from time to time, my
wifi system goes "nuts" which causes players to disconnect randomly. As
a result, players in sync will stop and restart as soon as a player
re-joins, this is the way LMS works. Then, you'll have all these
messages from
one of my 6 preset stations is not available on my radio . The only way
I can access it is thru my squeezebox website. The other 5 preset
stations work fine. When I turn on the missing station it says
"connection reset by remote host". any suggestions as to how I can
override this problem???

Sorry Greg - I missed this.
I'm not so sure about that. You

What do you know - that old thread has just come to life again:

Yes, very likely (for having fixed more than a few) at least one of the
electrolytic capacitors is defective. It manifests either by a randomly
rebooting classic or a channel distorted, mute or quiet. You can replace
maybe one or two capacitor, but others will fail soon. See other posts

I've just bought a new amp to fix a problem that now appears to be my
old SB Classic playing up. Luckily I have a spare Classic.
The problem is that the output on one channel is very quiet compared
with the other. It plays, but at greatly reduced volume.
I've plugged it onto a different setup
The amp got up to operating temperature, and I connected the fan at
14:16. It seems to drop the temperature by ~5 degrees. I'm guessing
it's no greater because it's mostly just moving warm air around inside
the amplifier, as kidstypike suggested. The fan's not really big
enough, nor suitably

That's true, and it has. The baseplate has a grid of mounting holes:

Agreed. I needed a case for my spare 4B 1GB, so I ordered one of these
on the strength of your earlier post. It arrived this morning. I
