The cache is 3.16 GB on an 6 GB RAM drive that I have been using for
several years. Full rescans have worked well over the years until now.
That's a large file, and the RAM drive probably not large enough. At
some stages the temporary files created by the scanner can become as

What processor & OS is your LMS ?
If OS is Windows or Linux - I should be able to post a modified test
plugin in a day or so.

Do you mean RIP a CD? Reading the CD and creating some type output file
(MP3, FLAC, WAV, Etc) is a RIP. Burning a CD is taking files on your
computer and writing them to a CD. Once you've RIP'd a CD, you can
verify the tags using something like MP3Tag to ensure the tags meet your
needs (Album

Ok...so I've been trying to burn a CD. After several burns, it wont show
up in LMS. It's Procol Harum Greatest Hits. Doesn't appear in New Music,
Under P, H or G.. Any hints?

For a modern solution best bet would be to find a RTL8232 based
solution. Very cheap and available everywhere.

Yes with Griffin radioShark (plenty old ones on ebay) .
