I just tried playing the final two tracks of Pink Floyd's The Wall where
the final track has a track gain of +17dB. With Spotty replaygain
enabled it sounds ridiculous demonstrating that track gain is indeed
used. Turning replaygain off and using my -7 volume adjustment for

This is my experience as well. I disabled the Vorbis filetype for Spotty
so the server transcodes to FLAC, and I now have constant volume level
in playlists that include both local and Spot
