Maybe this whole issue has something to do with the crazy snowstorm here

I have the squeezebox hardwired to my router, and have attempted the
reset a few times (holding down "+" key while plugging in the unit), but
cannot get squeezeconfig to see the unit.
I mean, eight years of pretty much daily use is a good ride...and I have
a few "spare" units set aside for this type of situation, but still sad
to see him go.
Especially since I know the unit works just fine with the exception of
the display.

FWIW, I think I might have solved the problem.
I had downloaded Squeeze Control, Squeeze Commander, and Orange Squeeze
to my Samsung phone in order to compare them.
I didn't consider that having three squeezebox controller apps running
simultaneously might confuse things...now that I've
Orange Squeeze is easily my favorite app download ever.

So the system still hangs up.

Re-typing the folder title verbatim sorts it to the correct place.
I haven't the slightest idea why that works, since I made no change at
all to the title aside from typing it in again.

Always wondered why a couple of album titles show up in a different
place than they should in the alphabetical music folder listing of LMS.
Artist names in folder title are spelled correctly, and there doesn't
seem to be any weird metadata in the FLAC song names.
Any ideas?

Out of dozens of Miles Davis and Bill Evans albums that appear in
correct alphabetical order, there are a few that appear in what seems

Even after several years with squeezeboxes, I realize that there are
features which I haven't really taken advantage of.
Aside from TSF Jazz, and a couple of others, I don't really know too
much about Internet Radio.
LMS is running on my PC, and players connected to local music source.
Players are getting IP addresses from router via DHCP. I didn't notice
the network go down last night, but I rebooted the system, and also the
router, and couldn't get the squeezeboxes back up until I set them all
up again
When my squeezebox players suddenly display the time (which is the
setting when they are stopped), and I need to go through the setup
process for all of them from the beginning (searching for network,
obtaining IP, etc.) what has occurred?
It happens a few times a year...it happened today - only

entirety, play next, or add to the end of the playlist. When I click
the play choice, nothing happens...whereas before the album started

Knowing that the SB3 are now discontinued, I've been considering buying
a spare SB3 in case something happens to the one that's currently
hooked up to my main system...I already have a Boom in the office, and

I have four of the Freeagent extreme 1.5 TB desktop drives...so far, I
don't have any major issues to report (knock on wood).
