I've turned off all firewalls, and the SB2 still won't play.
It displays the correct song, and the Slim Server says it's playing,
but the music won't play.
Any ideas???
I'm running 6.3.0 (on a PC), because as of Friday 6.2.2 would not open.

and on the SB2 display, but the typical
indication of play (the music note and adjacent lines dancing up and
down) does not occur.
Does that help?

I rescanned the library, and now the slimserver is finding all of the
music.
Now, how to get it to actually play the music

with the remote or on the network computer, but it will
not play. When I check the server performance, everything seems to be
working except it says that nothing is streaming to the SB2.
Going on hour 12 of this escapade, so someone, please help a layman.
Thank you.

let us know what you find, this is something I will be interested in
doing once I make the plunge and get myself a linkstation.
For mt-daapd on the LinkStation:
Download http://linkstationwiki.org/downloads/ppc/ppc-mt-daapd-0.2.1.1-1.tgz
Unpack the archive to your LinkStation filesystem
Hi,
I've never used the
SlimServer iTunes integration, but I'd like to start doing so. I have SlimServer
running on a 250gb LinkStation, and I run iTunes on my Powerbook; do I need to
store my iTunes library information on the server, or do I need to use some
intermediary software
Yes we know about the Kuro box but it is limited supply I
believe and def. isn't available in Europe.
You can get them in the UK from ebay.co.uk for a not-too-unreasonable price.

Call be crazy, but I'm thinking of taking a Squeezebox out of its case and
mounting it in the wall of my bathroom (not *too* close to water!), so the
display is visible, with the main body of the unit embedded in a wall
cavity.
Possible? Mission Impossible? Likely-to-blow-up-and-die?
