having seen what's on Remote Central I think it could be time for an

I think that's not true. When I browse artists I should get an All
artists line first followed by the artists seperately listed. I can
than either play or add specific artists to the now playing playlist

all artists by using the first line. The same is true for albums,

CPU usage is around 5% or less on a 2Ghz P4 unless scanning iTunes when
it's anything up to 100% usage.
