It's not a problem - more an irritation. Since getting a new PC with Vista Home Premium installed, at boot-up Slim Server starts OK but I always get a pop-up error message from Windows:
slim.exe stopped working and was closed On opening the Slimserver browser interface I also find more occasions when the page just hangs and either I can't follow links or the right-hand player pane does not appear (or both).
