I assume you have Sound Check turned on in iTunes. I would recommend that you turn Sound Check off and apply MP3Gain http://mp3gain.sourceforge.net/ to your MP3 and AAC files and WaveGain http://www.rarewares.org/others.html to your WAV and AIFF files. This method works with all audio players
