Robert, thinking of going down the raspberry pi, hifi berry dac route as well. What is the output quality like. I haven't been able to find any user feedback on this. I am finding LMS 7.9 is the most solid it has ever been so don't want to use any other system.

Have followed thread with interest. Squeezebox has changed the way myself and several friends now listen to our music. Thank you to everyone involved in this project. Looks like it will improve on the squeezebox experience.

They are both terrific apps. I use both, probably lean more towards iPeng but that is only because I was using that on my iPhone long before squeeze pad was around. Buy both and decide for yourself. Let's face it they are not expensive. -- bigblackdog
