Anyone agree, or is it a stupid idea?

Before going any further, I'd recommend reading Sean Adams' explanation
of the current FFWD/REW design. He makes some very interesting points!

Never had a Toppy, but I was a TiVo evangelist before I upgraded to
Windows Media Center HTPC.
Now the only bits of kit in my lounge are a plasma, the HTPC, a set of
active speakers, and a Squeezebox2. Lovely

So how is a Ruckus router any different/better than a normal router?
Or is it just a normal router that you can buy in a bundle along with
your Squeezebox?

In Player Setings / Audio just select Stop at power off / Remain
stopped at power on.
Et voila - when you power off the SB, the music stops, and when you
power it back on again the music stays stopped. You can then just
create a new playlist as usual.

Have you enabled the plugin after installing it?
To install the plugin, just copy it into the Plugins folder.
To enable the plugin, go to Server Settings / Plugins on the web
interface, and it should be obvious what to do.

Try the latest nightly 6.2.2 or 6.5 build. The SB3 firmware has just
(yesterday?) been updated to v29, which fixes a number of problems with
routers running in turbo or 108mbps mode.

Press add to add the song to the end of the playlist, or
press-and-hold add to add it to the top of the playlist (ie make it

A better solution is to use ssh and tunnel the slimserver traffic.
I tried doing this ages ago when I first got my SB2, but I gave up
eventually.
Are there any simple instructions anywhere about how to set up an SSH
tunnel?
Thanks for your help!
