manually remove SlimServer, thats what I generally do for any software that has such a large upgrade. I am worried about that uninstalling automatically as I am on MAc OS X and not Windows. -- ezsurfing ezsurfing's Profile

Sorry for the newbie question: what are the steps to follow to install SC? Does it uninstall Slimserver? I guess not since I am on Mac OS X. And so, what happens to SB3 when I uninstall SC and how to do the rest? -- ezsurfing

Thanks for your reply. So I have to assume the problem is still there with SC7 and iTunes and Apple Lossless files. Maybe I should stay longer than I thought with SlimServe 6.5 until SC7 solves all the issues in a newer version... -- ezsurfing

to download it and and if the settings and plugins I have on my Slimserver 6.5 will stay or will be deleted completely with the new install. Is there a link to some screenshots of the new interface or how it works? -- ezsurfing

I changed my computer name in the Sharing folder of Preferences in the computer and did the same in the Networking Preference in the SS. But it still can't connect to Slimserver. What else can I do? -- ezsurfing
