I believe we have HDMI on board we have cec support as well, this is
working very well on the pi, and would remove the need for a separate ir
receiver?

Id like to make the case for 512MB having done a fair amount of hacking
squeezeplay and Linux in general on the Pi 512MB has removed alot of
pressure , I think we would thank ourselves for this later,
We could run s slightly less custom Linux and make use of dbus and
associated daemons for networ
If we had reliable usb we could use display link screens at least for
some development of graphical based interface. Even if there is no need
for a usb DAC straight off.
