Setting up Raspberry Pi 4 with PiCorePlayer. Reading through
instruction on PiCore site I saw one way to view Pi in command mode is
SqueezeSlave. But I can't seem to find up to date version.
Is there another program I should use?
The Pi is replacing my laptop which has been running LMS as
Streaming radio was fine. I think I found problem. My wife moved our
WiFi router on top of cable router. It was hot as hell. After moving
it off and cooling all seems fine though I have my laptop close to the
WiFi router just now. Will move around to be sure later.
I'm a novice. Aren't they difficult to setup/configure?

Time for new computer. My old one is going to our son so can't keep for
LMS server.
I have ~400 gigs music files. Currently running 750 go HD on my
Inspiron laptop. Thinking if I go with newer PC of Mac with SSD it's
time to move my files to EXT wireless or usb drive.
My wife is Mac
my library is all lossless files. Even on my PC laptop it takes 3-4
hours to do a complete rescan.

I've been having numerous problems with my LMS/SBT network. Just
thought it may have started after I upgraded to W10.
I use a Dell laptop to do a double jump to SBT. I know that's not
optimal but it had been working flawlessly. Now I can't get to play one
song without rebuffering.
How can I

OK I did the suggested actions. Still no play. It seems to be very
slow pulling up info. Say choosing artist - it can take 10 min or more
to pull up albums. Perhaps this Link Station is just underpowered to
use as LMS especially given my files are mostly lossless?
I am using Apple Lossless files. About 357GB total music folder. Yes I
waited for it to complete - it took a couple hours.
LS is WXLAED 2TB set up RAID 1 so it's 1 TB.
I'm using iPeng or Web control to run the Touch.
Well I thought I had it. I enabled LMS on my NAS. Though library looks
a little funky - lot's of artists start with A - it won't play on my
Touch. I get the Touch to connect to LMS on my NAS, it takes a while to
load info, I choose song to play, it tries to start, then no sound while
LMS running on my laptop. Wireless double hop - which works for me I
know it's not optimal. It wasn't doing this until I did the upgrade.
Actually this morning the Touch had upgrade message again. So maybe it
didn't take? I just started firmware download again. Let's see.
Let it upgrade again and now working fine.

I'm dreading the day I can no longer boot my Duet as my remote LCD is
just about gone. I only use it now to get it back on line when
necessary and iPeng all other times. Have Touch in my living room (Duet
is in office) feeding outboard DAC.
I love SB!!!
I just upgraded firmware on Touch. Now all of a sudden songs are not
playing to end and skipping to next.
Anybody else seeing this?

I just picked up a Buffalo Link Station NAS for home backup and I'd like
to run it as my LMS/Music files. I have the drive hooked up to wireless
router and it's showing up on my computer.
What do I need to do next?
Think I got this. NAS has LMS built in. I turned it on and player sees
it. I was able to switch to it with ipeng on my iphone. This was easy.
Let's see how it works tomorrow...

I just noticed my WiFi was running real slow. Rebooted both routers
(cable and WiFi). Afterward my music sounded so much better. Could
just be phase of the moon ; )
But then I thought just maybe SB alters bit rate when streaming on slow
WiFi.
Any chance?
Can SB access NAS music via iTunes? I see many come with iTunes
installed.

few days I can't seem to do a rescan for new music. It
gives me this message then stops:
Progress information from the previous scan is not available.
So I have to do a full clear all and rescan to find new music files.
Even rebooting won't find new files.
HELP!
