If you have your music folder in squeezecenter set to the same location itunes uses then you can also browse to the folder itunes just created for your new music. this will add that music to squeezecenter database. -- vain4

there really is no easy way to do this that I've found. one way to get around the problem if your listening in random mix mode is to configure random mix to exclude the podcast genre(make sure your podcasts are all tagged correctly) -- vain4
