Development hasn't stopped, the last release (1.3.4) was released only
a month ago.

I like the SYNC method better in Squeemote than iPeng. Its clear which
player is the Master.

... which in turn is completely meaningless on a Squeezebox. It can
even change during operation without you doing anything!

IS or Will be? Is is meaningless for Squeezeboxes, it even
changes frequently plus I fail to see what's difficult to understand in
a sorted list.
Will be: Which sync method do
No one has both installed or comparisons of the two?

I'd also really like to have a comparison of the two apps. I just got an
iPhone, so I'm not in the habit of buying apps, yet. I'm trying out the
iPeng plugin, but I'm not cluing in on how to use it. (I can add songs
to a player's playlist, but I can't make it -play-.)
By the way, on the release

Well, I have, but I obviously will not have neutral opinions :-)
iPeng has much more functionality and in a lot of ways can be faster to
use. Squeemote may be a bit easier to understand, except for the initial

Fair enough :)
I'll answer the rest in the iPeng support thread.

Just loaded it today via apps store.
Any chance of getting the Random play features and favourites available
as it is via the Squeezecenter screen??

It made no difference for me, it wouldn't update via itunes or direct
from the iphone.
Tried just now and the update is shown.
Not sure if apple had anything to do with it after I reported a problem
or not
Anyway, thanks for the update :)

Would there be any reason why my version 1.0 won't update?
I thought it was only in the US store and not the UK yet, but it is
:-/
First app of mine to not want to update.
Is that a query to apple or can you help?
Thanks in advance.

Can't think why it wouldn't update; are you able to download the update
from iTunes? If so, perhaps download it on there, delete the existing
version from your phone and resync (don't worry about losing your
server settings, the new version will detect your server
automatically).

Luke
Out of interest, has anybody else had problems installing the update?

Luke,
this happens with the App Store. I had users that could not get updates
for one or two weeks. Seems to be totally random.
Workaround is to update through iTunes as you suggested.

I'm happy to announce that Apple have just approved the first update to
Squeemote. The biggest new feature in this release is the improved
support for music services and internet radio and there have been
plenty of bug fixes and performance improvements. Here's a full
changelog:
* Added support
I'm also happy to announce the arrival of the Squeemote website:
http://lukeredpath.co.uk/squeemote/
It's still a bit of a work in progress and I intend to add some
help/faq content over the weekend but in the spirit of releasing early
and often, it's now live.

Luke,
Can I use a remote server?
How am I supposed to enter credentials?
Forget it, found it.
