I really like the idea behind Michael Herger's SlimCD... so to take that
a step further ... how hard is it to:

1) Create a similar CD for the PowerPC platform? (Mac Mini G4 for in my
case)

2) Create some sort of master bootable (linux?) external USB2/Firewire
drive with SlimServer (and perhaps Firefly server and a UPnP server)
that has a couple of partitions. e.g. 
(i) a partition that will allow booting on usb boot enabled generic x86
machines (windows+dell types) 
(ii) if needed a partition for booting intel macs (via firewire /
usb2)
(iii) if needed a partition for booting PPC macs (via firewire), and 
(iv) a FAT32 partition to store all the media (e.g FLAC and mp3 files)
- so this can be accessed even if you don't booth from the drive.

Does this make sense? Will this be useful to anyone? Can it be done?
