There is always the possibility to point the SS to an empty folder, and
then do a full rescan. That would produce an empty library.

I often fire up MySQL Administrator and drop all the tables manually when
slimserver's not looking.. You know

Actually, I just tested this and it works quite well. Be sure to point
both the music and playlists folders at this empty folder.
