Thank you Michael, i did it by saving the whole squeezecenter folder.
I'll make a backup of the prefs file for next time.

I am about to do a clean install of XP, is it possible to export all
of my settings so the new installation of squeezecenter is quick and
easy?
You'll have to backup the *prefs* in c:\documents and settings/all
users/application data\squeezecenter.
