Logitech Media Server on a Synology NAS.
On my side, I have updated VERSARADIO Plugin to display FIP Radio
information and it works quite well (song information + cover art),
fetching JSON data from FIP web
Reviving this old thread because after all of the years that passed, the
itch had to be scratched and I had some time ...
So - before I share the link to my new plugin for FIP is there someone
else who would like to try it out so that I can have a bit more
confidence that it works in environments

After a long time without working on this plugin, I'm currently doing
some cleanup in the package and adding a repository xml for auto
install. If you're still interested, I'll post a message there when the
new package is ready.

Why don't you use the Versaradio plugin which is a generic plugin but
has support for FIP already developed. Don't know how up to date it
is.

Ah - having read through more of the thread ... I did know about it ...
I'll have to make some time to download and play - maybe I can add

new Perl.

The RadioTime feed is WMA and does not contain (or does not properly
display) metadata via SC or SB player.

There is a potential way to do this.
The FIP web page includes info about what is currently playing
http://sites.radiofrance.fr/chaines/fip/endirect/
This page could be parsed by SqeezeCenter and the data then used to
updat ethe song info on the Squeezebox.

Is there any way that when playing Fip radio, the track info of the
current song can be displayed.
Please bear in mind that i am a fool and any solution needs to be in

I saw a thread in the developer forums regading this from last year,
they were talking about a plugin called radioplus, i think, but it was
all far too technical for my brain.
However, they did mention Fip radio specifically, so perhaps there is
