I just tried this; I didn't know it was possible becuase softsqueeze no longer works (not sure if it's a leopard OS problem?) Anyway... iTunes shows and plays as a player fine - what I can't do is sync my iTunes player with a normal sb3. The sync menu has gone... Any ideas? -- simong

well, I ended up un-install then re-install SqueezeCenter 7.0 and now everything works. So maybe SqueezeCenter didn't like Lame installed AFTER it? Thanks for all the help though (particularly Andy)! -- hobieboy

In iTunes, select Advanced - Open Stream. Type http://ip:9000/stream.mp3 where ip is the IP of your SqueezeCenter server. Find the player in the SC web UI, it will be called something like iTunes from 192.168.1.2 and then add tracks to play. -- andyg

Not entirely sure I understand your problem, but make sure you have iTunes selected as your player in SC, and the audio file type settings are correct to alac/flac if you don't want to use mp3. I use iTunes on a mac pro, all at ALAC. -- grrman Daily Gearhead
