I use PRTG Graphic Grapher (http://www.paessler.com/prtg).
It's free for personal use (restricted to 3 sensors). I use it to monitor
external ADSL traffic, internal Wireless traffic, and network latency (Ping).

Apologies if this is slightly off topic (although it is connected to my
SB use, honest !). I'd like to keep some kind of log of the amount of
internet bandwidth my network is using - and where any connections are
being made to - both to ensure I'm not going up to my upload / download
allocation,
