My music is normally ripped to MP3, but the same would apply to any
audio format... What is the best way to manage albums that are mixed
together? I actually try and avoid them as much as possible, but I
picked up a new CD yesterday that I didn't realise was a mix album. So
it got me thinking about the problem again. I've currently got a small
(but significant) number of CDs that I haven't ripped to my server yet,
as I don't really know the best way to do it...

It would totally bug me if SB was playing through a given genre and
picked up a track that started "part way" through. So instead of the
normal beginning of the track, it jumps in and you hear the end of the
last song on whatever album it came from. Same goes for the end of the
track, where you hear the next track on the album coming in before it
gets rudely cut off and SB picks up a totally different track from the
music library.

So how do you guys get around this? Do you just live with it, or do you
rip entire albums as a single audio file? Or choose not to rip the
albums at all?

There's got to be a good way to make this better, so would be interested
in any ideas...

Cheers!
Dan.
