Apparently not - I'm running 7.4 and I didn't even have to do the
"extension downloader" step. The new services just show up. I even
played a few podcasts from Mediafly on one of my Booms.

OK - I guess you don't need to do that part with 7.4 - I just looked at
the "Music Services" and the new ones are listed.

Did you read the update which mentions downloading the plugins or updating
to 7.3.3?
