I resoldered all the non-SMD pins (mainly connectors/vfd interface) and i sanded the four sides of the uPC (first remove the square IC from its PLCC socket off course) I think the sanding caused my device to work again, but i can't really tell because i did the soldering and sanding in one go. g

Thanks for your responses! I've solved the problem. I resoldered the PCB en sanded the pins of the PIC uC. I think oxidation on the uC pins was the cause of the trouble. So anyone with weird problems with a SLIMP3 pointing to defective HW this is something to check! -- eflukx ---

Could be a flaky player. My Slimp3 works fine using 6.22. I ran it for a long time using 5.4.1, which was a nice, stable release. -- Pale Blue Ego Pale Blue Ego's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=

Yep. I kept the library very small. Just for testing purposes. -- eflukx eflukx's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4165 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=21447
