I just used a software called tag and rename to retag all the chinese song files so they're in unicode. Also, don't let Slim Server to use iTunes's library. Just direct it to your music folder and let Slim find all the tags itself. This should solve the problem. -- jenma

Hi, I am a SB3 user with version 6.2.1. I have followed the instructions on the get started page to download all the true font types for Chinese characters. But it didn't work. Couldn't display any Chinese characters on both Web interface and SB3. I am using Windows Xp. I would be very grateful

OK, I found out the previous problem was caused because I was trying to sync with itunes library which is probably not encoded with unicode. It's working now after I just skip iTunes and sync with the original music folders. -- jenma

I've finally got around to try out the beta 6.2.2 but when I rescan the libary, all the songs with and Chinese characters in the tagging are gone, not recognizable by the server. This is really weird because most of these worked fine on the older version. I haven't even attempted to make this

kbelinski Thanks for your help! I use wav format. no tag. Chinese can be displayed on web UI but not on SB2. Of the folder has Chinese character, SB2 cannot detect the folder. If the folder is in eng and the songs in wav format use chinese character as file names, it shows something like

Ok. Now I see. You have no tag and you have chosen to display filename on SB2. This might cause problem. As far as I have experienced, the new Unicode feature is really WYSIWYG, meaning What You See in Web UI Is What You Get In SB2. If the characters would not display correctly in Web UI, the

Thanks! I have actually installed all the required fonts in the correct directory. My friends using Chinese WinXP got it working but I am using Eng WinXP with multilanguage support does not work even with the 6.2 slimserver. Do I need to change it to Chinese XP for it to work properly? --
