You can make a mix out of a playlist. However, that'll take a rescan (as
far as I know).

It's the button Send to in MIP's toolbar (second from the right, a
headphone). Be sure Slimserver is running and there's at lease one player
ready.
BTW: I just noticed MIP is recognized as UPnP provider (SlimServer 6.5.1).
