I managed to capture where it is by taking some photos for a rewview I
wrote. See attachment and note the receiver's position relative to the
Slim Devices logo. The receiver is the small circular part.

Thanks for the reply, and the picture! My attempts at shining a light on
it revealed the connections on either end of the display, but I missed
the IR down low. Thanks again!

I got that thing quite by accident, only noticing it after seeing the
picture. :-)
I was actually trying to get the logo, but ended up overexposing it.
Just right for seeing that little receiver though, which seems to be
smaller than the one used in the SB2.
