Thanks for that, didn't see their 30-day trial. It also seems as if it actually has both Browse Folder and New Music. OK; I've tried it. I downloaded the beta version 1.5.1 (because it reportedly added support for BBC and I rely on that as well). Got it onto the IPAQ 1950 but it didn't work

I'm using a skin called 'v'. It's not included in Slimserver, however if you search for it on the forums you will find it. I wrote it myself (or actualy rewrote the nbmu-skin). I find it better than the standard handheld skin because it uses two panes. It has (like handheld) musicmagic support. I
