I have to agree.
I like the look of the new units, but they won't work in all of the

angle
of the tilt on the new display is adjustable. The way it looks now, I

it could be difficult
What surprises me is that SB is distancing ever more from the separates
hi-fi look. This new one would not even fit in my Home Theatre
furniture... :(

I'm sorry to hear that the form-factor of the Squeezebox 1/2 is
going to be going away. In 2 of the 3 places I have them, the new form
factor would not work at all.

The new format wouldn't work where my SB2 is either. Nevertheless, I do
like the look of it and it will go fantastically well in a bedroom or
kitchen. It just looks very out of place when combined with a hifi -
wouldn't even fit in my case.

What is the detriment to carrying both form factors? Obviously there
are certain instances that favor one case style over the other. Both
are tooled up. Tech support would be largely unaffected since
functionally they are the same. Hell, you could probably make the
price the same on both
So... why not offer both versions?
Stock, higher production costs for smaller series.

I'm sure there will be people around willing to trade. There are
no moving parts in a SB so it's not like they're likely to 'wear out'.
I've two SB2 and personlly really like the new look. I'd be happy to swap one out with sombody.

I can't afford my new SB's until the new year so Im sure stock will be
gone by then. Ebay is certainly an option tho, so I will keep watch
there when I have some cash...
One more question, can anyone at Slim divulge sales numbers for the SB2?
Probabaly not, but Im just curious. :-)
Jess
I'd be happy to swap too :) Anyone in Australia want an almost-new sb2?

Now that Squeezebox 3 is out, will the Squeezebox 2 be fazed out? I
kinda like the look on 2 better than the 3 (well, not exactly.
Depending
on what system I have it hooked up to)
Still avaiable - not sure for how long though.
