sbooth.org has some pretty decent software, I use Max to rip my cd's to
flac.
If you want a smaller player then check out
http://www.alenofx.netsons.org/, you'll have to download the beta
release to get Leopard support.

Im playing with a new macbook and I wanted to move some music files on
it for a trip. Are there any third party media players that run on
