Who said so? AFAIK it isn't sold separately at all for now. But I haven't heard
that this depends on the country you're living in.

Have heard that from a number of retailers. They've not said never, but
they've confirmed it won't be available separately for the foreseeable
future. I've since purchased an iPod Touch and am using that as my
remote.

Yours is perhaps an unusual requirement, but I would second the need for
such a package. I really like being able to see the SB3 (or SB+ in my
case) display, as well as the Controller. Often I just want to see
what is playing, and I prefer to look at the hifi rather than try to
find the

I currently have some SB3's in my house. One is connected to my
receiver in my family room which has a zone upstairs.
I currently use a Harmony 890 upstairs to remotely start the SB3 and
turn on my AV
