Check in the Squeezebox Server Settings - Player - Audio the
pre-amplifier damping level (0 = non).
Wording could be different, I recall it from mind and a German version.

Hello everybody,
I'm a proud owner of a SB3 since 2006.
I've been delighted with this product since i use it.
But unfortunately my analog output (RCA and jack) seems to be broken.
I have no sound coming from it on my speakers, just a noisy background.
I tried the optical OUT and it works.
Try an xilinx reset. Remove power and then restore while holding the 1
button on the remote.
